Doggone supporting Local Government

Running a start-up business can be brutal but it can also be the most rewarding thing you’ll ever do. Doggone’s vision has always been to use technology to help reunite lost dogs with their owners – quickly and safely!

At the end of our first year working in partnership with Lower Hutt City Council’s regulatory services, the Doggone team is very proud to be able to say that over the first 365 days, 624 lost dogs were reunited with their owners through the Doggone app and our free 4133-text service.

We’ve had a few challenges along the way, but we continue to refine and innovate our service based on the feedback we get from users. To quote someone else – author Seth Godin – waiting for perfect is never as smart as making progress!

We look forward to continuing to support registered dog owners in Lower Hutt and in helping more Councils around New Zealand support their dog owners in keeping man’s best friend safe and sound with those that love them the most!
